About Us
Our Story
Nache Mayuri was founded in 2012 with the aim of spreading knowledge and awareness about Indian dance forms in Chicagoland area.
Initially we were just a handful of students, training in a basement. However we grew rapidly to about 250 students per quarter, performing in large auditoriums, cheered by 100s of supporters. During the pandemic period, we also expanded our reach to rest of the country, through online classes and performances.

Currently we conduct four regular sessions in a year followed by four exciting performances.
About me
Hello, I am Mayuri, founder of Nache Mayuri.
​
I was born in Mumbai, the birthplace of Bollywood movies, music, and dance. From my childhood, I always had a special liking and passion for dance. Being close to the action, I had the privilege to be trained and work with leading choreographers such as Ganesh Acharya, Ganesh Hegde, Bosco & Ceasar, Lollipop, Etc. This really helped me sharpen my skills.

I also had the privilege of performing alongside leading actors (& dancers) such as Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, Priyanka Chopra, etc. on various events . I also was an assistant choreographer on some of these shows & have personally trained many actresses during this time.

I have been a lead dancer in many troupes of leading playback singers of India such as Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan, Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Falguni Pathak, etc. I traveled with them worldwide to perform on more than 300+shows worldwide.

When I moved to Chicago, I wanted to continue my passion and share my skills with students of various age groups. I also enjoy planning and conducting colorful shows, where my students showcase their talent in style.
